Preschool with Extended Care
The Learning Tree offers a hands-on preschool program for children 3 to 5 years of age who require all day child care. Our curriculum is designed to give well balanced, hands-on experiences that will help your young child grow socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically. The Preschool with Extended Care Program provides a rich learning environment, as well as two snacks, a nutritious hot lunch and naptime.
Primary Care Givers are responsible for the daily need of each child, providing consistency for children and their parents. Each Primary Care Group consists of 10 children, with one adult seeing that all of their physical and academic needs are being met.
Each classroom is arranged into learning centers where children can learn in a free play setting. Centers include Art, Blocks, Library, Writing, Science, Table Toys, Dramatic Play, and Sensory Table.
Our 3 year old curriculum focuses on self help and independence skills. These skills help to build a positive self image which helps all future learning. Our 4 year old curriculum prepares children for Kindergarten by providing activities which encourage the pre-literacy and pre-math skills they will need to succeed in school.
The Learning Tree's theme-based, hands-on curriculum provides children with the tools they need to succeed in school. Our Preschool Program consists of Large and Small Group Activities, Story Time, Music and Movement, and Open-ended Art Activities. Each day is filled with opportunities for children to make decisions, to plan and experiment, and to learn important social and academic skills in a supportive and encouraging environment.
