Kindergarten (East & West Locations Only)
Kindergarten—the first step...we know it is a big step for both, you and your child. The Learning Tree is prepared to come with you as a partner to make the first year of school one that both you and your child will enjoy.
The purpose of our Kindergarten will be to promote readiness for first grade. This general purpose, along with a manageable class size and an assistant teacher in each classroom, will allow us to challenge each child according to his/her abilities. What this means for your child is, if the child is ready to learn to read and work with basic concepts, then we shall seek to meet that need. If your child has needs in the area of socialization or self-esteem and needs to be successful, we will certainly work to meet that need. We know that this is a great undertaking, but we are certain that our staff will try their best to meet your child's developmental needs.
The goals we have for your child's Kindergarten experience are simple. First, with the child looking forward to an additional 12-16 years of schooling, we desire to have the child enjoy school. We want them to have fun! Secondly, no matter what the ability level, we want all children completing Learning Tree Kindergarten to know they can be successful.
